My mates car got nicked a few years back, the night before we went on our annual trip to Scotland....clubs in the back because he was so excited to get going early in the morning.'Back of car' are you mad!!
Never have I ever left my clubs overnight in the car
Oh and youtube is full of vids of robberies caught on cctv, still a robbery though

You did say you would never need one.My club is 5 minutes from my home.But I got to the driving range after 8 on Thursdays when the club is usually shut. And I never said it doesn't work for others anyway, I was clearly speaking for me only and answering the question presented.
Yeah, but that would be every week for me, so I might as well just take the bag as it's easier.
If you moved to a different club that had facilities to practice and was open later then it might be something to consider.
Especially if you didn’t have to pay anymore for it.

Nah, I don't think I would ever bother. Have no issue chucking my clubs in the car and I'd rather they were at home.

Wait till your daughter seems them and goes Daddy’s sticks.
Then picks up the wedge and cracks you in the shin with them.
Just a point on the security issue. Golf clubs are, usually, very secure places. Better alarms, more people around during the daytime, CCTV…

I sometimes wish I had the kind of relationship with my clubs where I could leave them in a locker/car or other place that’s not in my peripheral vision when I’m watching TV… but I’m not that guy
Also, what to do when Dan (the man) Grieve gives you a golden ticket swing tip at 6am on YT and you need to grab a club or two out the bag to give it a go

Big yes for me, always had one but good practice facilities at my club, if there wasn’t and I was going and using ranges etc then it would probably be a bit of a headache.
I just much rather clubs, shoes, practice balls etc are all there instead of lying in a cold shed or garage.
Security wise I’ve an airtag in an almost hidden pocket in the bag, any movement will notify phone.
Also handy for staying and having a few beers after a game and then not lying in a boot in the car park over night or taking home in taxis etc.

Are the lockers well vented as well? Many seem to be solid wood with no holes for moisture to escape.

It is a yes from me.
I have had one for over 30 years, originally because I no longer had anywhere convenient to store my clubs at home. I often use to pop in to the club just for practice on the spur of the moment.
As well as the bag of clubs I keep several pairs of shoes in it, a choice of golf clubs different shafts for the driver, various items of clothing, balls tees etc.
Security wise there is master key held by the office. I could not even get the local key shop to cut me a second key as it did not have the right blank and others have said similar. CCTV
Anything wet goes home to dry before being put back in the locker.

Yeah they have vents in there as well.
Although we also had a trolley shed which was just a big old out building which had nothing apart from a roof and 4 walls (with a door). So if you used an electric trolley you had to take the battery off and put in your locker

Your wife must be far more forgiving than mine, not sure how she would react if I jumped out of bed grabbed a golf club from the corner and started swinging it around

I've got one but hardly use it tbh but with an extra kid in the gaff i'm going to start using it to store all my balls and tees
the reason i don't use it that often is since the kids been born i'm out early doors and because of internal politics it's down to the externally contracted cleaners to open the clubhouse (greenkeepers and pro refuse to keep a key). they're pretty flaky at turning up at 8am so can be a bit of a stress

Gotta say, I never actually kept clubs in there.
Ended up being storage to keep another pair of shoes, gloves, maybe a dozen or 2 balls.
Or hang an outer garment up after a wet day maybe.
Always just took my Clubs home after a round.
Can be handy for some, especially at 1 of clubs where people just walked to club rather than drive.
Doubt id ever have 1 again though, but thats just me.

I used to have one up until about 2 years ago....used it to keep a spare carry bag and all my "spare" clubs. Main set stays with me at home so its always ready if I want to hit the range or play somewhere else, rather than me having to drive in the wrong direction to the club to get the bats. However I was in the advantageous position that I paid for mine at lets say, a reduced rate, due to my work within the club. When new management came in and they upped the price to £120 for the year with no "concessions" I decided that I might as well keep my spares in the cellar at home.
There was/is always a waiting list for lockers so I guess many folk consider them beneficial.
Quite a few folks take advantage of the "trolley park"...and indoor lockable room with space for around two dozen electric trolleys...all marked "parking bays"...not sure what the rate is for that.....think it might be £100 for the year.

I used to have one years ago at a previous club - it was big enough to hang clothes in and store shoes, balls and the like, but not clubs. They had to go in a trolley shed, a large permanent part of the clubhouse adjoining the pro shop.
That shed was fine, but I soon learned never to leave balls, gloves, caps etc in my bag because there was no CCTV and theft of those items was rife.
I played at that club for the first time in thirty years last year and wasn’t surprised to see the trolley shed is no longer used for club/trolley storage.

Ours are £40 a year and I have one.
I keep my main set there as thats where I play most of my golf, after all the surgury it just take the strain out of lugging all my kit backward and forwards.
Also keep my waterproofs and shoes there so I can change when i get there to keep muddy kit out of the car, not so much of an issue in the summer.
I have a carry set at home if I need to play anywhere else.
Overall its a positive for me.

It's a nope from me. My club is 14 miles away. What if someone called for a game in the other direction? As for "air drying" your bag after a game in the rain. LOL. If it's been a proper downpour a golf bag needs 24 hours indoors to dry out with the clubs removed, and everything else in it.
