Local Elections

We both have Postal votes - mainly down to HID being a nurse and often working on election days and not having the time to get to a polling station
I'm sitting here looking at the list of names.
I don't recognise any...
I've had no information through from any candidate explaining their stance, policies or views...
How the hell am i supposed to vote..?
If they want me to vote for them, they should be telling me why.....

Wanting too read printed leaflets, posted through doors. How quaint and old fashioned. The internet has all the information you need. Google your area, your council, your candidates. It's all there. It's not just about them gaining your vote, you are allowed to do some work as well.

One day we'll get the hang of voting for the best person for the job... Rather than what colour rosette is being worn or how 'cute' they may look... Believe this matters more for local elections...

Then, we might actually get the governance we want/deserve...

They want me to vote for them..?
So, persuade me, tell me why I should.
What if i don't have internet access for whatever reason..?

Do you also not want to vote? Do you not care who represents you? It is a two way process.

It is not always affordable or feasible to leaflet every house in a constituency, nor is it environmentally sound. We live in a modern era, I'm sure each candidate will have information about themselves online somewhere. Not hard to tap a few keys on a keyboard.

You are correct that not everyone has access to the internet but most do now and that may be more effective than leaflets that people barely glance at before throwing away, hopefully in the recycle bin😁.

My point is there is a very simple alternative to leaflets nowadays and there is no need to be annoyed by a lack of receiving one when you can look yourself on the very tablet or computer you are complaining on.
