littlestone warren (kent) friday morning

Thanks for the tip boys.

I checked golf empire, which is how I found the Princes open options. I have now booked in the Littlestone individual s/ford open on the Wednesday at 9.40.

£25.00 as mentioned, still times left after 12.30. A great saving on the normal weekday price of £65.00.

Dontcha just love golf empire and this website. Only registered about 2 weeks ago, best thing I've done in ages.

Hi Smiffy,

That back 9 was windy alright!! The last 3 holes are one of the hardest finishes ever. One over for all 3 made me ecstatic. The one over was obviously on the 16th.

You did well .... the 17th is one of the hardest, but most beautiful, par 3's anywhere

Yes, I normally hit a 3 wood about 220-240 0ff a tee. I think it was 180 straight into the wind,I hit a full 3 wood into this and landed about 10-15 foot on the green. I turned my back and next time I looked I had fell off the front or the wind had blown it back of the green. I then had a 30foot putt from the closely mown fairway which I put to 2-3 foot and then canned it for the par. A great par 3 though.2 out of our 3 parred it surprisingly

I think I blobbed it, along with 18. Hit a drive out to the right and ended up in the first cut, played a nice 5 wood up the middle and then cocked up from 90 yards and put it in the right hand bunker. Thinned it out of there into the left hand bunker and picked up as we were playing a team game and my partners were all on the green for 3.
Hit a cracking drive down 16, and just as I stood over my ball to play my 2nd shot, I got bitten on the neck by some bloody nasty. Wasn't a wasp or bee, but it bloody stung. Luckily Leftie had some ointment and put on it, but I guess it kinda put my off my stroke a little 'cos I played duff from there on in.

On 16 here is my normal (we always exagerate) hitting lengths and the clubs I took:-

Driver (normally 240-300) hit ok went 180 ish
3 wood (normally 220+) hit well went 170 ish
7 iron (normally 155-165) hit well went 100
bumped and runned an 8 iron and then sinle putted.

The starter had advised that some people hit driver, driver from fairway and even 2-3 iron on occasion. A brute of a hole, but very memorable.
