Hi all,

Want to try my hand at links golf but don't know where to play... I am in Berkshire so going south is easier than north...

But clueless as to where I can go...

Any suggestions? and does anyone else fancy doing this??

Try this

One of my top 10 ever.....it's just not the easiest journey from Reading.....we do it lots (on family visit trips).

It's not the full links experience of the west coast (Wales up to Cumbria) but it's a corker.

I have not played them, I just know of them. I have a mate who was a member at Royal St Georges.

Hayling Island is supposed to be a nice track. Not exactly links, but very nice.

The 3 down in Kent are all good - RStG is bloody hard, Deal (RCP) is a good challenge and Princes is good as it has 27 holes - they're all good though and worth the money.

Littlestone is good too.

Ferndown, Parkstone, Broadstone whilst not strictly links are good near Bournemuff as is the Isle of Purbeck but I haven't been there for a while and I had heard it's gone downhill a bit but the views are awesome!!
