Like a Kid at Christmas

Not quite the first competition of our clubs season, but as playing with two people who thought it was like Christmas.

I was joined by Granters and Big Slice in the Spring Meeting, medal stroke play.

David has just joined and this was his first medal and only his second ever 18 holes around the course, we did manage 11 holes on Thursday though. He was really looking forward to it and started very well, gradually the course crept up on him, welcome to Bogside :-)

Grant has also just joined and was playing to get a handicap, a scratch 79 to go with another 79 off the yellows may , mean a handicap less than he thought, great scoring today CSSS likely to be 73. As you may have read he is awaiting new Wilson irons and is swapping driver shafts.

They were great company and I thoroughly enjoyed the round with them, so yes it was like Christmas for them
 :whoo:

Good playing Region.

I had a thoroughly average day today! First qualifier of the season for me too and been looking forward to it.

Sadly a fairly uneventful round with a couple of birdies and a few bogies meant me comfortably making buffer.

Just one of those "ho hum" days on the course, nothing worse than a bogey on the card but fairly routine pars in the main.

Hitting the ball very well at the moment though so quite content. Short game was a bit off today which was the main cause.
