Letting somone through on 18th

If a group catches you on the 18th will you still let them through or just carry on and play the last hole as there's not long left to go?
Does it depend on the difficulty/par of the hole?
Was just wondering what the general consensus was and if people would be annoyed at not being let through - as it was the 18th I'd be inclined to just carry on and finish up, and wouldn't be fussed if it were the other way round and I wasn't let through on the 18th.

If we were looking for a lost ball I'd let them through. Otherwise, not much point.

I generally don't let people through after the 16th. There's very little point, as the whole idea of letting people through is to save time if they are playing at a quicker rate, but they will only gain 5/10 minutes if you let them through.

Our 18th is a par 3 so it's only if anyone has to search for a ball that anyone gets called through

I'd be the same , if looking for a lost ball and noticeably holding up the group behind I'd let them play through.

On the premise that we were holding them up (lost ball etc) then I'd let them through. You've no idea if any of them have a good card going and hanging around especially on the drive on our last, could be decisive. Like to think others would show the same courtesy

However, remember the rest of the field! if you then add an extra 5 mins on 16/17/18 that 15 mins added on to everyone behind you which you can be sure will escalate to 30 mins, then its 4 hr rounds and moans from everyone about the group in front of them............all arising from a few guys near the end of their round who didnt think it would make any difference

Ditto. If it was at a different course it would depend on the circumstances, but wouldn't see the point normally.

Depends, our 18th is tree lined the entire length of the hole on both sides no more that 5yards from the fairway If everyones down the middle no issues carry on everyone will finish soon enough, but if have to look for someones ball then it'd be call them up,
