Hope this post gets some interest!!

i know theres a few boys on here who live near to me which will be good. But these questions are for everyone.

What is the name of your golf pro that gives you lessons!

Why did you choose him?

Do they work with what you got or try to change your swing completely?

Have you had any bad experiences with pros?

Like i said hope these are sensible questions to ask. if not i keep my big gob shut next time

Flopshot - For my formal Lesson I use Finlay down at the range, he is a excellent teacher in my oppinion, doesn't give you too much to work on at once and is generally a nice guy.

I have also had some tuition off of Steve (he drives my old car now!) and Ben who is a bloody good golfer from what I hear.

I chose the guys down there as I had always practised there so I wanted to give them the business.

I have found that Finlay is keen to work on modifying what you have rather than completely rebuilding you.

Had one bad experience but that post was removed from here, a pro from elsewhere managed to give me the raving @rsehole.

I've had a few lessons with Paul Stuart at the London Club. smashing guy, and a gave good advice regarding swing and new equipment. I'd see if he can video your swing and compare it with others (Paul used a computer programme to demostrate the basis of swing, which helped me no end).

At the early stages its all basic advice and will all help. I found it a great help, and gave me a lot of pointers to think about.

You cant really go wrong with lessons to be honest, the benefits are noticable with my game and have seen me consistently shooting 5-10 less within the last 6 months.

Why did you choose him?
Reputation and he worked at a PGA training course.

Do they work with what you got or try to change your swing completely?
Changed it completely.

Have you had any bad experiences with pros?
Yes, the first one was rubbish (local course) and a few one-offs have been a bit disheartening because you can just tell they don't think you can ever be a real player.

Find the right one, you'll get on and he'll understand there's always ways to improve even the most untalented player!!
