Had my lesson yesterday to stop me sh*nking.
Apparently I transfer my weight back on to my left side too quickly and this causes me to cast the club to the outside and sh*nk it or at best pull left.
He got me to stay on the right side longer, by placing a ball under my left heel so I got the feeling of staying right more and keeping a straighter spine angle.
My alignment was wrong, my feet were pointing way right. He gave me a few tips about body alignment and told me to go out for a few holes to try it all out.
Didn’t Shank a single shot despite some really stinky hanging lies.
Played 18 holes in the end 5 over par, level for the back 9 into the wind.Par 70 at Tain.
Driving was out of this world, probably hitting 20-30 yards further than normal.
Now looking for a competition to play this weekend, let’s hope I haven’t forgotten everything he told me by then
