Football is riddled with morons at every level from fans to players to coaches to board rooms. It attracts the sections of society that haven't been brought up properly, have no standards of decency or manners and wear their idiocy as a badge of honour.
In terms of this incident, don't worry because those that run the game have everything under control. Gordon Taylor for example has said the incident was "very disappointing." What a clown.
I'm off to a rugby match tomorrow. I doubt I will hear any fans chanting about paedophiles or murdered fans. Doubt also that the crowd will be smashing up the stadium or running on to the pitch.
The beautiful game? Don't make me laugh. I'd go as far to say that there is hardly anyone I know that is not losing interest in football, primarily due to the moral vacuum that is the Premiership.
