Learning the high fade

I have been having a bit of trouble with our 18th, it is an out and out fade off the tee. I play a draw so I have lots of trouble and it had become a bogey hole. I hit the practice ground tonight and have come off better for it. I know how to set up for the fade, aim right of target, aim further right with the feet, swing down the line of the feet and try to make the club heel stay ahead of the toe through impact. Tonight I hit 70% fades, a few straight shots and a couple of double crosses. All in all though lots of positives. I'm going to continue to practice this shot until I can fade at least 95% of my shots to order.

DB.....Try moving the ball slightly further back in the stance and tee it a bit lower than usual also.....Roughly the top of the ball just peeping over the top of the club......
It should catch you before you start turning the club over and keep the face open just a little longer.....


I have the opposite problem.....
I need to curb the level of bend im putting into the ball.....
I was hitting the damn thing like Bubba the weekend....Funnily enough i was getting good distance...

I don't know how I'm doing it, but every time I'm trying to hit one down the middle I end up with a high draw, then a high fade, then a grass cutter. I should stop playing with the str8 fit

As far as playing the hole goes, it doesn't seem to REQUIRE a fade - though a touch would be helpful. Why not just set up as normal, plan on ending up on the left side of the fairway and make your birdie with the chip/pitch!

A fade is my go to shot for the longer irons and drives as I can't seem to draw the ball as consistently.

I aim my body about 20* left of my target and the face of the club about 10* left of target. I swing down the line of my body as per usual.

Always seem to hit my driver straight. Even when I want a draw/fade, it still goes straight. Guess you cant have everything sigh!

Keeping your clubface where it is... open your stance a little more OR check your shoulders aren't closed :thup:
