Laptop/Broadband assistance required, please.

Had Virgin Broadband installed today, instead of the frankly appalling Talk Talk 'service' I had been using previously.

How do I 'name' my Broadband service from my laptop? The Talk Talk service was set up as 'Brien WI-FI' and I'd like to change the name of the Virgin service to this too, rather than the not-at-all-snappy 'virginmedia2717440'!

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Erm, find out how to access the router settings from your web browser (usually an IP address like http://192.168.1.1) then you can change it in there.

Make sure you use the highest level of wifi encription available,

last thing you want is an unsecured wifi connection that any Tom Dick or harry can borrow.

Its in the router settings again, just look for "Wireless Security"
