Playing with Imurg yesterday and found myself 175 yard from the green

I reached for my trusty 23 degree G15 Hybrid . Perfect distance for that club.

Then proceeded to Airmail the green Big Time

"Jeez" I thought, Hit that one a long way.

Then looked at the club, it was actually my Trusty G15 20 degree Hybrid with the 23 degree headcover on it in error.

I thought i'd been hitting the 20 a bit short

Has Imurg had access to your bag at any point recently?

I got to the course on wednesday feeling confident, 2nd or 3rd hole I realised I had left my 4i and 8i at home, rest of the round I felt like I had a half set and the amount of times I wanted to play an 8i just to remind me what a knob I was!!!

I blamed the kids at 1st but then realised I was doing a drill in the dining room and the 2 irons were on the sofa in there :(

Opens up a can of worms

IMURG-GATE

The merest thought never even contemplated the possibility of entering my mind to do this. On any normal day I wouldn't need to.
Mind you, when I'm hitting it sideways it could give me a way back...

Wont be asking if he's got the right club next time out - much...

In a monthly medal I once struck a really sweet 6 iron to go over the OOB on a par 4 only to see it go miles high and land in the middle of a field. Yep, I'd taken the bloody 9 iron ! :(

I did the same last week for a layup shot, played my 18 over my 21 cos the head covers were wrong :o lucky not to get wet.

Simple solution Fragger old chap , get your grips done in different colours.

As for mixing up a 6 and 9 how the heck do you do that , theyre miles apart in how they look at address

That reminds me of something similar I did once.

I was playing the 18'th and hit the fairway.I looked over and seen I was just inside the 200 yard marker.I hit a nice solid 4 iron which nearly smashed the clubhouse window - the "200 yard marker" was actually the 150 yard marker. :D

I did something similar with markers. Played from what I thought was 100 yard marker. I don't hit well but this ended very short. Walking up I came across another 100 yard marker.

Then I realized the mistake. It was a shared fairway.
