We went to see the Knife Angel in Hereford Yesterday.
It's on show there and is on a tour of different places around the UK. It's mainly made of knives that have been handed in at Police amnesty stations. Amazing!
(Sorry for the low quality pictures. I had to compress them to get them all in)

If you're still there tomorrow try the ice cream van down by the Victoria footbridge, it's gorgeous. Spent my youth in Hereford ??

We come back on Thursday via Ross on wye. Today was black and white villages tour with a stop in Hay on wye and a visit to me ancestors " Clifford" Castle.
Ice cream is me middle name ?

Wow that’s both impressive and both frightening that there was that many knives confiscated or from an amnesty

I was there about 11:0 am Tash. Walked past the Green Dragon. Had some lunch in the cafe in All Saints church about 100 yards from the Dragon. It's a really good cafe with some great food. We visit Hereford often, it's not far from Malvern.

Don't know why but I always thought of hereford as a rufty tufty town. Its quite nice. Herefordshire is gorgeous with some stunning villages. Even went into Wales and escaped in one piece.
Managed to buy 3 desperate Dan annuals
As well. ?

It had it moments back in the day ? Took Hid down for a quick 3 day trip out of lockdown and she loved it, Hereford High Street not what it used to be but guess you could say that of a lot it towns these days. Countryside is second to none ??

The High Town Shopping has suffered since they built the new Shopping Centre in the Old Cattle Market Area, Behind the Football Stadium. It's still a nice place to visit, we like Church Road that runs between the Cathedral and Town Centre, it has lovely shops. The newer Left Bank by the river is also nice, it's a good walk over the old bridge and through the park by the river and back to Castle square.

They're trying to do something. Have a look at the link I put in the OP, it explains how it started and what they are doing on its tour. Can't fault them for trying.

I'm not faulting them for trying nor am I unaware of these sort of schemes from my former employment, but equally my former employment doesn't fill me with optimism that it will make a difference.

We were browsing in Church Street and saw that what was Latchams the book shop was now a Bee shop and as Hid is a bee keeper we went in, also met the Mayor in there. ?

There's also a furniture shop by Timothy Hawkins who hand makes pieces in his workshop in Bartestree. If you're there again take a look, he makes some very nice furniture. I've bought a number of lovely pieces from him over the years.
