Morning chaps/ladies,

just popping by for my annual check in to make sure everyone is well (hope we've not lost anyone, flounce or otherwise!) and see if dates for any of the meets will work for me to make a rare appearance and do some gardening on the tee box :) )

I'll try and stick around; I think I said that last time I was here but then I became a dad and all of a sudden don't have time to even take a number 2 in peace.

Whats twitter for if not to vent haha

Knees so-so, its ankle that has me sidelined currently lol

I'm currently training for an Ironman and have a gammy right leg that's preventing me from running, which isn't ideal when the event is in 8 weeks! So I feel your pain. My whole body feels like that of a 50 year old (probably).

Mine definitely does (and in before Imurg Im not quite there yet!!!)

Rather you than me with the Ironman, good luck! could be tricky without running. Where are you doing it?

Hello, and welcome back. I am training for an ultra (100km over 2 days) and am 54. You have no idea!

Copenhagen. I've calculated some realistic estimated timings and as long as I give myself 7 hours for the run, it's doable to run/walk it I think (as a worst case!)

Murph! Trust you are well. Rather you than me; I enjoy running now (when my body allows!) but I can't ever envisage training to have to run that far in one go. Marathon is far enough.

You should do the Race to the Tower in the Cotswolds one year - it's supposed to be great and I'll pop along for moral support.

Good to hear you are still around son.(y)

Still a huge hole on the 9th tee at Blackmoor. Members think it is subsidence, but some of us know better.:)

Oh I wish! (Thems were the days!).

Welcome back - if only to boost our morale by reporting about your injuries! Congrats on Fatherhood. Your life will never be your own from here on, but it's great fun - even for those of us who 'merely' acquired the role!

I'm 18 months in (silly knob decided he wanted to make an appearance on Christmas Day of all days!) and loving every minute (except ALLLL the minutes in the middle of the night where he's awake FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL.)
