Just got back in from the worst and best round ever

got no clubs tonite so i borrowed my mates dads so we could have a knock about tonite. He turned up with old pingi2 irons, a wooden ping 1 wood and a ping putter. Immediatly I though shat, this is going to be messy. However.....started birdie, double bogey, birdie, birdie, par, birdie, birdie. It then started to piss it down from the heavens and I finished 1 over par. Absolutly gutted. His putter was totally on fire! Couldnt believe it really but the rain really killed it. The lack of run from the wooden driver really left me well back off the tea which put a load of extra pressure on my second shots. All in all im happy but thinking how gud it could have been.

Have to say those clubs felt like a proper blast from the past!

I have an old persimmon 3 wood my parents had made for my 18th. I took it out a few months back and the good ones were still awesome but boy the bad ones were punished.

I did enjoy hitting it, smashed it off the deck on the first to knock it on the first par five in 2. They do feel soo soft when u catch it right but it does give quite a penetrating flght!

I sometimes practice with one of my dad's old persimmon woods... Sometimes hit it further than a normal shot with my G10.

But a crap shot just goes nowhere...
