Just before I pull the trigger....

a half hour drive gets you to the Hallowes which I much prefer to Bondhay... can book via teeofftimes and save a few quid too

Try Coxmoor, very easy to get to from Mansfield and a very good track. Also as already mentioned college pines is a decent track and hardly ever closes due to bad weather.

Worksop won't let you down at 22 quid.
My mate is a new member there and emailed me earlier raving about the quality of greens for this time of year.
Bondhay not in the same class imo.

I myself am looking forward to returning to Worksop with our society in April.

As a back up plan I could possibly offer guest rounds at Norwood Park or Newark depending on tee times. However, probably won't be as attractive as Worksop.

lol, Ya not wrong there LQ. He'd have saved a few quid had he let me book the hotel 2 weeks ago - the £6 increase almost killed him. His fault.

Oh, I'm driving. I wanna get there in one piece and not have to listen to the drivel on his iPod. Ive suggested me n him do a 54 hole comp as an aside from the Monday - I wonder what new game he comes up with :-)

Says the person who'se calculator says £33 + 4.50 = £39.50.......

You know me quality of track overcomes quantity of sheckels spent.

Thanks Merv, I'll discuss with Oddone, look into the options mentioned and make our minds up next week.

Forest pines - We've asked for prices for a week Sunday (29th March).

They only have the pines and beeches as an option on the day, as follows:-

The price for a:
- 2 ball £30pp
- 3 ball £25pp
- 4 ball £22.50

Worth it?

Posted elsewhere, as well and 2 spots if anyone wants to join us, if we go ahead? Tee time is 3.20.

You won't go wrong with Worksop, great course. College Pines is sound too, speaking as a member last year....but out of the two I would certainly choose to play Worksop. They both play well in winter.

Your geography is appalling yet again. Your going miles out of the way yet again just like your detour on the route to Inverness last year.

Do forest pines another time if I ever invite you back to woodhall as you pass it.

And I am sure you can get the green fee cheaper than that at forest pines.

Coxmoor or Worksop ya clown

Harsh.
But fair.

Oh I don't mind Glyn, I'm driving. I'll even keep the meter running when we stop the 6 times for Pete to 'refuel'... :D

But Worksop sounds best.

ah right. I now understand why forest pines isn't out of the way if your driving. Surprised he hasn't got you driving to burnham and berrow on the Sunday instead then Mansfield after that.

Make sure you stick your hand out for petrol money. Never forget that after pleasington. Priceless

you would understand if you had met him. But in order to meet the great Liverbirdie you need to get yourself to a yooofs arcade as that's where he hangs out at weekends.

Your only jealous because of your banning order still has 9 months left on it.

Open invitation to forummers if we have a little comp - no countbacks, dance off only and none of that freaking rave music rubbish!!!
