Had a day off booked today. Job interview lined up and a much anticipated short game lesson to look forward to. Woke up in the early hours feeling rather funny. Long story short - bout of D&V. Everything cancelled. Got to the range for my sanity more than anything for a bit but still feeling ropy.

Second bout in two weeks, Now I know I work in a hospital and we have wards closed for norovirus etc but I am not clinical and only rarely get onto the wards. Everything still feeling rather dodgy but amazing how well you can hit a ball holding your bum cheeks tight. I knw there is a "there's a lot of it about" but twice in two weeks is not only inconvenient but worrying. Hoping to be right for a game tomorrow and short game lesson rearranged.

keep a bottle of hand cleaning stuff with you, hospital doors, lift buttons, handles etc etc are thick with germs....

You never know Martin, holding your butt cheeks tight might be the ultimate answer to all your golfing woes
But then again.......

maybe thats his secret move! All golfers should have a trigger, a quick clench of the cheeks then away you go. Just remember to watch yourself on the follow through :D

If I'd had a dose of that, the range would be the last place I'd want to go.

I admire your commitment Homer.

Phone in sick or cancel interview - thereafter advertise on the interweb you went golfing!

Doh is very appropriate!

Day off yesterday was booked annual leave so no skiving. Day two of the D&V bug and no amount of will power getting me anywhere near a course of range. To add insult to injury heating now packed up so not only am I in and out the small room but freezing cold and wrapped in blankets. Just managed some toast and honey. First solids for 24 hours. Must be easier ways to diet and lose weight

Is it just me that finds it incredible that you cancelled an interview but managed to go to the range :mmm:

Not sure you have your priorities in the right order there Homer

Still squiting at 9.45 when I was due to have interview. 6 immodium and going out of my head watching day time TV so hit the range 5 minutes away. Just wanted some air and time to think. Not crime of the century and think I have come up with a cunning plan regarding a change of career path

Can the mods step in here please, I'm about to eat my dinner and this image isn't helping my appetite.
