If you hear of any spare tickets in your end, i'll have it off you and i promise to keep my mouth shut.

Hey you, gegging in on my idea to ask some of the lovely eagles fans for any spare tickets in the home end. I'll even bring some trill for that big bird of yours.

Imagine me and stuey on the same train, sat at the back - it'll be like a dragster, can save the country 50 billion on HS2.

Keep your eyes out for spares chaps.

On the ballboy thing - its an improvement, Hazard battered one last time!;)

Big pallaver if you ask me. I like seeing my team, players, manager showing some passion and fighting your corner, ok not always literally, but if a ballboy did it to my team, I'd expect my manager to try and do something about it and not just sit on his finger.

I suspect my mate, who's ticket it is, may want to watch another upset!

Too right Chris!

In all honesty, those from Liverpool seeking tickets are clutching at straws. I will happily keep an eye out but I do not rate my chances of coming across any spares.

Also, I do not take to kindly to vocal away support in the Palace end (not saying you would be like that of course)! When we played you guys at Anfield in the Semi of the worthless cup circa 2001 (lost 5-0) there were Liverpool fans in the away end! Its disrespectful and I do not think its right myself.

COYP - WE can do this!

Every game I've been to this season has seen one of the two teams wasting as much time as they can get away with. The ball boy , in this case, was told by Puncheon to slow up the return of the ball, so Maureen really should be having a go at him but I guess a little lad is likely to be an easier target!

Storm in a tea cup or what! When I was a lad it was very common occurrence to get a boot up the arse by football managers, policemen, farmers, teachers, postmen, the guy that collected the football coupon, bin men, random strangers, you name it...

A finger wagging? Flip me!

I'm only messing la, as if I'd keep quiet 😄 I've been promised one in our end though, just hope it doesn't get moved to the Monday night because I have to be somerwhere north on the Tuesday morning.

It's expected from him - eye gouging , making refs fear for their lives and then quitting.

Should face a long ban

What a vile, horrible human this fella is. He deserves to have the book thrown at him for this.

From the Mirror - the most trustworthy, reliable and never over exaggerated or inflated news stories. Just another excuse for people who don't like Jose to have a bash at him. Pathetic.

Maybe if Jose didn't offer comments about every man and his dog, he may be left alone. He courts the press, so being the English press they are going to go after him when the opportunity arises.

The problem is that he is so arrogant that he doesn't want to be left alone because he loves people talking about him. It doesn't matter whether it's good or bad .......................... he just has to be the centre of attention.
I'm sure he thinks he's bigger than the club.

All I'm saying is, maybe everyone shouldn't believe what they read in the papers. A story for a stories' sake. Anything for a reaction... which seems to have worked quite well apparently!

Sensationalist yes, believable YES - it apportions quotes to Jose where he admitted what he said, so the're not making up the quotes. Jose courts the press more than any other Premiership manager, he is manna from heaven to the journos. He will also reap the whirlwind when things go wrong for him, though. Ok, you'll have a Chelsea bent on it, but come on, Mourinho deserves no sympathy here. I do think it is a bit of a palaver though.

Definitely not a Chelsea fan but here I have complete sympathy with Mr Mourinho.

Ball-boys should restrict themselves to gathering the ball and returning it to players of either side without delay. They are not part of the game and should not be encouraged to think that they are.

Having read the quotes I can only see that Jose has merely warned the offending ball-boy of the potential consequences of his actions.

I saw it on TV ................... therefore I believe he said it!

Totally agree with you, maybe they should start having neutral ball boys.

The main beef from the OP was the treatment by the press of Mourinho, and as if they were making stuff up. They didn't make it up, quoted him correctly, although did sensationalise it. However, he can't have it all his own way.

First thing is Jose should NOT leave his technical area he was sent off for this at Villa. ====The player who told the lad to hold onto the ball is out of order but all footballers cheat and lie all the time so should not complain to much when something happens to them. =====They are just like a bunch of spoilt children .== If Jose told the ballboy he could be hit by an exited player he needs to have a long look at his players.

If a manager was sent off for leaving his technical area, there would be no managers in the dugout by mid-season...

Yes, he said an over excited player might hit the kid. A warning to avoid another Hazard vs Swansea ballboy incident. Suddenly the man is a damn criminal?? What about if the kid is ballboy at an under 21's game, where the players are young, inexperienced and desperate for a break, and get much more emotional over little things?

I couldn't care less if he, Moyes, or any other manager said something like this. It's just the papers finding a story to stir up some excitement.

What would be nice, is if the papers made more of a story out of the fact Chelsea were beaten by Crystal Palace... rather than hark on about one sentence taken out of context. But then again, we wouldn't be 140 odd posts deep into a team winning a game of football... that would be far too boring!
