To be fair, i have played east brighton, and yes, 350 is way within reach of average hitters. Get over the crest on some holes, and the distance achievable is mental.

Fair play mate.

I play 99% of my golf there so assumed it was normal on other courses to have similar holes.

DJ has only just developed that fade in the last couple of years, they were discussing it on Sky Sunday evening.

As for East Brighton, yes it's extremely slopey on some holes so a ball that would normally go about 230 could go any distance downwind in the summer as it rolls and rolls endlessly down the hill. That's just unusual conditions though, most professional golfers don't hit 300 yards in soft conditions.

Yep I never claimed otherwise. I am new to golf and just saying what I see at my course.

Just the usual forum bullies out in force.

Bully ? No one has bullied anyone - all people have done is say they don't believe that you and your regualry playing partners drive over 300 yards and even more so laugh at claims of 400 yard drives.

It's a regular claim on here from mid to high HC and it's always a laughable claim when you consider that Pros don't even regualry drive 300 yards

I know plenty of 300 yard hitters but that's not an average. It's on certain holes in certain conditions but there seems to be many on here that are right up there with the tour pros in their averages. I'm happy with an average of around 220-230 as long as I can hit 55-60% of fairways and miss the others into the semi rough. When you do see an average handicapper lash one miles it's always good to see. Nothing beats smashing it as far as you can...as long as its straight too

You can understate it as much as you by paraphrasing all of what people have said.

It is just belittleing and no one is on an online golf forum to be treated like that.

Showinf a little bit of respect goes a long way.

Just said on Inside the PGA tour that Rory leads average driving distance with 318yrd.
DJ longest drive of season 428yrd
