Joining fees

No, but it makes it irrelevant.

Fail to see how. Will never meet their joining criteria so their joining fee is irrelevant. If I get to play it as a visitor, again unlikely, then great. Still wouldn't want to join such a club. It may be THE best course but it just doesn't tick any of the boxes I have for joining anywhere.

It really is a scandal. I went to the Ferrari showroom and they were looking something like a quarter of a million to join their club. How ridiculous - I was willing to spend £10k on a new motor and they weren't interested. I decided I just wasn't interested in joining a club that is so narrow minded as to turn down good money in a time of economic crisis.

That depends on your target audience and what you are giving them. As Ethan says, Queenwood is more than that but what you get is about as exclusive as it gets with no hackers like us turning up on Society days.

Obscene maybe to us but there are plenty of people out there who can and will pay that for the exclusivity.

I'm sure you're trying to make a point, but I'm tired and can't for the life of me work out what it is?

I like the HCEG method........no entry fee, no applications, you can only join by invitation.
At the end of the year the club divi's up and you pay your share.

Not a drug baron, bank robber or 'celebrity' in sight.

I wouldn't want to belong to a club that would have me as a member.......

The costliest entry fee is the club you cannot join no matter how much you have
