what an absolute legend :clap::clap:

for a non sportsman to even attempt something like this is amazing! also watching the program and seeing the pain he went through especially after his row where he had an hours sleep after an 18hour cycle is almost super haman.

fair play to a legend guess i can forgive him for bein a bit grumpy when i seen him in liverpool the other week (although he still stopped for pics etc)

I agree, great effort as most of these things are.

Always seems a bit weird that Eddie Izzard's ridiculous effort (something like 50 marathons in 55 days) sort of gets forgotten about.

Fair play to him though, £1.6m is an incredible effort.

cant stand his comedy routine but I assume he's just done something for comic relief? good for him and anyone else participating

Sport relief,

He cycled from Paris to Calais, then rowed the channel (with freddie flintoff, Davina McCall and Denise Lewis) then ran over 3 back to back marathons from Dover to Trafalgar Square. All in 5 days straight.

Very impressive from a non sporting background, how he mustered the energy to wave at people etc is beyond me! RESPECT in capital letters deserved!

forgot to record it but watched most of it on the iPlayer last night (and will be finishing it tonight)...Fair play to him, he absolutely bossed it!

Always liked him and met him after his gig in Cheltenham a few years ago, totally down to earth bloke, who's game for a laugh.

cheers Rooter, sounds great, I'll watch on the iPlayer. Thought he was a semi pro footballer at one time though

Watched it last night, Bit emotional to be honest, How the guy carried on I will never know, Do a bit of running myself and know the pain you go through, So fair play to him, AMAZING Effort...

Likewise although it is amazing what will-power can do. I finished a marathon with a broken tibia in 2004. Stuffed up my running from then on but I managed to overcome the pain with a stubborn mind-set.

Well worth an hour of your time, well produced program and it pulled on the heart strings a bit, I normally forward the "appeal" bits, but it was really humbling to see.

yeh,totally agree with all posts was a tad smokey in my living room also making my eyes water:o.

Every credit to him,i do bit cycling and have hit what they call brick wall a few times and it is the worse feeling ever:(,so seeing him go through so many emotions and pain was tad emotional but was a well put together program for a great cause:thup:
