I had the pleasure of a round with Jimboo this afternoon at his place - Sene Valley Golf Club. I just wish for the say that James wasn't feeling too well and his game was slightly affected and I had just come off a second short game lesson and forgot to put in my bag the bit of courage needed to do what I'd been shown properly!

Anyway, because James wasn't feeing well, I want it to be understood by all forum members that any views, comments or postings about the end result of the game should be ignored as his medical condition clearly will affect his judgement and he might come on here in a delirious state and make unfounded and defamatory statements that, if well, he wouldn't be so rash as to utter! James - golf was never meant to be fair!

Chris the comedian!!! :)

We both played pretty pants to be fair. I don't blame Chris for being a stickler for the rules when my ball moved 1/4 inch as I was about to stroke the final 2ft putt to win....

Chris, sir, you are a true gent! ;)

I think that it was 1ft 11in actually.

Simon Dyson is in the dock today for ignoring the rules, I wish that I hadn't seen it move but you just cant ignore these things.:whoo:

Add to that, the incident on the 12th when I had something like 5 putts to halve the hole from a foot, conceded my own putt and you tried to claim, in contravention of every rule in the book, that my conceding your putt for a 12 (or close to) was concession of the hole?

A half was a very fair result given that yuou should be giving me shots nowadays!

Don't you realise when something is in jest? I didn't take the points did I? ;) Unlike some!!!!!!

The rules are just fine when they work to your advantage :)

Hmm... on a serious note... I'm not sure I agree in this instance... imagine if it was the final putt of a playoff at the Open, and the same thing happened... I don't think the winner would want to win it that way.

I bet he would say not but, in reality, be delighted!
