Playing off 27 Is a real Jekyll and Hyde experience... Sunday played terrible possibly worse round of my life. Today I played my drives where straight and exceptiionally long compare to normal. I was even 10yards short of green in one and on the par 5 si 1 I got on in 2 which never done on any par 5. What's worse is I did nothin different today than I did on Sunday. Does everyone suffer to this extent or just me? Was playin match play today with mates dunno if it's bcoz I was more relaxed or just enjoyin the fact of I had a day off work.
when I'm playin well I tend to play equivalent to off 20-22 but can never do it when it counts or consistently.

We all have good days and bad. They thing you need to learn by the sounds of it is how to handle the pressure you put on yourself when you play rounds 'that count'. Play each shot as you find it, forget about what you've already hit as you can't change it and don't think too far ahead as your crisp chip into the green is only a possibility once you've pulled off the long and straight tee shot. So, get the tee shot away first and then plan shot 2.

learning to play with a card in your hand seems to take time a common thing is to go out a knock and play well quite often below h/c and the blow up come the weekend with medal card in hand, just try and relax and not worry about the score play your normal game and as matty says take one shot at a time
