I decided I cannot go through the summer without watching any of the golf majors.

Today I took out a NOW TV subscription. Big advantage over SKY direct is that the contract I took out only has a 6 month minimum term and the special price offered is less than half of what I was paying SKY

£32 a month for HD sports and entertainment+ with HBO .

I pay NOWTV twenty quid a month on a 6 month commitment for the sports.

I used to pay £15 for a one day pass, so works for me. At the end of term, I go to cancel as the amount goes up and then they offer me the same, so repeat.

No need for any other parts (entertainment) for me.

NowTV is the cheapest way to get Sky Sports legally. At the end of any deal, just go to cancel and they will always offer you another 6 months for £20 like Burnsey said. It's all automatic and you don't even need to speak to anyone. You can also get Sky Movies other packages for half price if you do the same.

The only problem is the interface is annoying and it takes longer to load up than normal Sky.

That’s exactly what I do with NowTV every 6 months, keeps the cost down and the few extra seconds it takes to pick the channel is worth turned load of cash it saves.

Does NowTV have UHD and the extras on Sky+ (like every rugby league Superleague match)? I’m thinking of switching but I do value both of these things specifically, so that would tip the scales against a bit.

You have to subscribe to the NowTV Full HD+ package it’s a couple of quid extra but fully worth it and so much cheaper than Sky

They offer SD
HD (boost)
UHD (Ultra boost)

Ultra boost adds other features like ads free streaming on some but not all downloads and you can view of 3 devices against 2 for boost.

Each at a different price level.

I have not yet checked out all the sports channels but I notice there are more dedicated ones than I used to see on SKYQ
Seems like it it has a dedicated stream for each event. I watched the Indy car yesterday.

That's what we do. Never paid the full amount yet
