Google the name of the "software" that they're trying to sell you, should give you a step by step solution to get rid.

Just in case you hadn't realised, the only virus you have is the parasitic 'pretend' virus program trying to get you to part with your cash.

It's making stuff up about your computer having issues. Don't do anything it says.

If you post the name of it here maybe someone can Google the removal instructions and post them here for you.

its windows defending system ive found instructions but my computer wont let me go online because of it or use my avg, im on another computer diff house, slowly thinking a hammer will sort it,

You could try 'Safe Mode With Networking'.

Restart the PC, then keep hitting F8 until you get a menu screen up. Choose 'Safe Mode With Networking' and it will only load necessary drivers and stuff to get the PC working. Hopefully the crap that's preventing you getting to the internet won't be one of them.

nup stuff it its 6 year old and i was thinking about changing, see early posts. i think i have also joined a new golf club so money tight but stuff it. i just dont have the time (i blame bobmac lol) so it will be hammer time thats 9 hours of my life i wont get back

I had something like this once. Local computer people got rid of it by putting the hard drive as into another PC from which they could run a removal programme.
