After finishing last season quite well. Last game was november ish i never picked a club up until end of march. Played enough games and been to the range a few times that my game should be back. Not striking my irons as i should be and with us playing Ailsa in 12 weeks time i need to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Feel as if the clubs getting behind my hands on take away. Flat at the top and coming over on downwing. Tried correcting my takeaway but its not hapening :s

Right way to go mate. The pro will spot whatever has slipped out of place straight away. Sometimes one fault breeds another too so he will straighten you out and tell you what to work on

P.S Best to go now rather than wait a few weeks and try and sort it yourself as well. Ive done this before and it just makes it worse in the long run

Great to have a lesson, but I find it takes me quite a while through a few range sessions to actually change something before I start playing again- otherwise if I get back out on the course too soon I find my swing just goes back to normal and the bad habits creep in again!

I'm a big advocate of lessons after my recent transformation.

Not played much over the last couple of years and getting back into it now. Was striking the ball well but was experiencing real consistency issues with blocks and pulls... obviously a swing path issue but couldn't fix it.

Spent an hour with my local pro a couple of weeks ago and we tweaked a couple of simple things. After a few visits to the range I played Nefyn this week and haven't played this well for a few years. 77 including three double bogies on holes I played incorrectly due to not knowing the course.

I owe my local pro a beer.

Big fan of lessons and despite what the scores are showing the quality of the ball striking is much improved and it is close to being very good. My pro is just tweaking it and layer by layer making the swing reliable and functional. Not textbook but one that works
