I'm going to limit the number of swing thoughts I have before Hitting the ball. I'm just going to check that my alignment is right and the ball is in the correct location relative to my stance. Of course I'll have to get my weight properly distributed, and on the balls of my feet. I'll check that my grip is OK with the'Vs' pointing in the correct angle. Of course I'll have to keep my back straight before I take my backswing and I must go wide with this. Make sure my belt buckle points away from the target at the top of the swing and keep my left arm straight. I'm not going to start the downswing from the top but I'm going to make sure it starts from the ground up, and concentrate on the follow through to a good high finish and my belt buckle facing the target.

I think that by cutting down on all my other swing thoughts, I'll be keeping things simple. I'll let you know how it works out.

Once I've addressed the ball all I'm doing is picking a single dimple and keeping my focus on the dimple and the word "dimple" in my head. Stopping any swing thoughts entering my head and I can just make a swing and trust the work at the range and in lessons. For the most part it's working well. As simple as I can make it

That's cutting down is it?

I just have the one swing thought with the driver. Don't hit it out of bounds. With an iron it is don't shank it.

As soon as I hit the ball, I do like to get an early shout of fore in.

That's super.
It will give me time to read the entire series of Game of Thrones books while we are playing together...

"dimple" has two syllables.
Have you thought about a shorter word?

On a serious note the only few lessons i ever got 2013 ( i think) created this very problem above ha ha ,

Now its back to tee it, feel it with a practice swing, pick spot and hit it

Good work

Wrap that all up in a book and you could Prob sell it :D

I'm a thick northerner. I rarely think anything about the swing. I make sure my alignment is ok and then just smack it.

All very laudable to be sure, and seeing your mind will be relativity uncluttered perhaps consider pronating the wrists through impact too. 😄😄
