Its gonna be a looong weekend for Rory and Lee

I don't think Lee is going to have a long weekend, I'd be surprised if he tee'd it up today.
Rory on the other hand, anyone know what happened to him? I didn't see him on the coverage at all.

No surprises really. Rory is having a very poor season by his standards, and Lee has had a terrible 2nd half to the year. It's just bad form for them both.

Can't agree that this is just bad form for Lee. On the coverage last night he looked really uncomfortable, like he was being bothered by a niggly injury. Not debilitatingly painful clearly as he was able to play but he didn't look at all comfortable and was moving very gingerly.

I don't think Rory's tournament is done and dusted. The scoring yesterday showed that birdies are out there. If he shoots 3 66's then he might be in with a shout of playing next week.

Not saying it's likely but he's definitely got the ability!

To be fair I did see that too, so fair enough. Either way he hasn't played well since the open.

Westy wouldnt be playing if he didnt need the fed ex points to make top 30 for tour championship. Neck and back niggles but the way its going it won't only be a long weekend it'll be start of the close or is that exhibition season a bit premature than planned.

Ive found it quite surprising how many of our "top guns" are falling apart..... Lee, Rory, Luke etc etc even Rose is a little off the pace at present since his big win.... busy year yes but I would expect some of these guys to hang around with more top 10's etc than they have. I know you cant win every week but some have really fallen quite badly....:( I hope it doesnt mean a big drop in quality available for the Ryder Cup.....

The Americans are doing well and the likes of their new young guns and the old school etc are all showing some form. I suppose it makes it interesting.

It's no real surprise. Look to see how much the Americans have been playing. Sneds played 7 weeks on the trot, took a week off and is now playing in the BMW. Playing and winning is a habit, our lot seem to believe all this crap about preparing for specific events, and coming in on top form, it's fantasy. Donald had his best year ever in 2011, he played loads, this year he has been nowhere and we have hardly seen him. They all need to get out on the course and play, if they need a role model, look at Jiminez, broken leg over the winter, he's out there giving it his best shot and contending week in week out.

It is now, 6 over through 11 today, 13 over total. There is something seriously wrong with that boys head. No-one with that amount of talent should be 13 over par
