It's all in the shaft for me

I'll throw a spanner in the works here......unfortunately it's not as straight forward as regular or stiff flex as all manufacturers limits differ. So one manufacturers stiff might be another's regular, more proof for going down custom fitting route.

That's exactly what he said. It works for me. I don't think there's an industry standard for stiffness tbh

You play off 27 but shot 88 gross?

cough cough BANDIT cough :D

Ask richy, moogie or kev off the tee, I shot 103 off the whites our last forum meet. Totally inconsistent.

Besides, I'd do some supplementaries before playing in a comp.

Been there, done that. We all start somewhere. And the only way is up for you now

Sharpley is short, so it may well breed confidence for you. If you fancy a game there, just let me know.

I understand the shaft is the engine room but how much often do you get off the shelf? Not much and while I accept that a lot of golfers will be fine with stock shafts or one of the few options available. Some pro shops may have a fitting trolley with a few more options but surely (and maybe controversially) the way to get the absolutely right option would be to go down the C/F path.

Nice One Dean  Pleased u got sorted and its Working for you

We will take that 88 card as a 'supplementary' for our Next GMNE Meeting........:D

Ain't fair fella, I believe you're meant to declare a supplementary BEFORE playing

good stuff dean, having just shifted from reg shafts to my Razr Hawk with RIP stiff (made for so apparently not proper stiff) I am hitting the ball a lot straighter and can put a full swing on it wheras with the tfc reg I had to swing slower. Not fitted mind you but 3 range sessions seem to suggest its a big improvement

88 gross, I had an 85 off 28 h/c and 2 87's :blah::blah::blah:

Well done Deano, and well done MGL, another happy customer.

I'll enjoy the tee box battle but I'm leaving my latest driver at home. Matched it up to my 3 wood but its an untried experiment so won't risk it. Especially with your Mexican handicap

Thanks guys

I didn't want to change the head as I love it already. Nicky agreed, why change something you're happy with already?

Personally, I think in this game you have to take whatever you can to get better.

I'll get my sombrero for the next meet :mmm:

The set up ain't that much at Sharpley re handicaps and competitions

I'm hoping they get something together next year so I can start playing competitive golf.

We dont have the usual set up of a golf club......lets just say its very 'informal'

yes that was a reason why 6 golfers from sharpley came to wearside at start of year as there was no comps on often
