I am so frustrated so thought I'd vent on here and if nothing else get a soupcon of stick, some sympathy and a bit of banter.

At the moment I'm not a member anywhere but hopefully rejoining in April. Because of the family when I golf it has to be an early ish morning tee off so I can spend the rest of the day with the family :) as a result I need my friends who are members to play with

I've played a few times this year and have noticed that when I'm more relaxed I've been swinging much better. My putting came good on my last round so just my pitching and chipping contact to fix.

Came on here and read a very helpful tip someone got from Mickelson (thank you whoever you were ) about chipping. The idea was to focus just in front of the ball ie where you want to take the divot. I've been doing a similar thing on bunker shots focusing behind the ball where I want to strike the sand. Anyway, out in the garden doing some small chips and pitches and it worked a treat.

So I'm absolutely desperate to get on the course and try it out along with seeing if the same theory can help me with my irons but sadly I can't get a game because there are comps on everywhere. April 1st can't come soon enough!!!

Want to swap lives mate ;)

Same boat here.

Currently knocking it round the local par 3 once or twice a month.

I have actually invested in lessons so I can get the most out of lunchtime driving range sessions.

My aim is to break par for 18 round the par 3, currently slinging it round in 4 over to 10 over so a long way to go.

I keep trying to get a round of 18 with a forum member but nobody is biting!

So very true - never seen greener grass LOL! I think I've been starved of golf for so long and the weather over here has been wonderful the past couple of weeks. While I've been not playing I wasn't on the forum as much and had a stockpile of GM in cellophane because reading it was too painful. And now I'm able to play, have ploughed through my back copies, drooled over shiny clubs and the top 100 courses, got all excited about the Benross comp I'm just absolutely gagging to play every minute of every day!

If I'd been plugging away all winter I'd probably be feeling a little.. meh.

It'll all change for you when golf's finest descend upon Augusta ;)

SB when I rejoin at my place if you fancy a trip to Suffolk I'll give you a game :)

Sounds like a plan! I am desperate for 18 on a full course but not enough to go out on my own.

I don't mind playing on my own as a member but I would only rock up as a single if I was on holiday somewhere.

aren't there any courses offering membership that you can join now until April 2016, a lot of clubs in the Midlands are offering 15 month deals to ensure they attract members
