I thought the Argies were always suspect at the back. Maradonna seemed to have gone for the Keegan (at Newcastle) or Ardilles (at Spurs) school of coaching and believed his team would always score one more than the opposition. The scary thing is, this German team is new and young and so will only get better

I dont think this is typical of the germans at all they used to be slow builders waiting for a few opportunitys now they seem to be more gun hoe and hitting fast on the break with lots of players getting forward, ive been really impressed.Hopefully they dont win it but i cant see beyond them.

The argies haven't played a decent team the whole WC, everyone knew their defence was very weak and Spain would have ripped it apart.

Spain to beat ze Germans like in 2008.

They are not really that young, the average age of the squad is 25. More to the point how many are actually German is the funny thing.

Ghana – 24.1
North Korea – 24.8
Germany – 25.0
Cameroon – 25.2
Spain – 25.9
Chile – 25.9
Serbia – 26.0
Slovakia – 26.1
Switzerland – 26.7
Ivory Coast – 26.7
Uruguay – 26.7
Slovenia – 26.7
South Africa – 26.9
USA – 26.9
Mexico – 27.1
Argentina – 27.1
South Korea – 27.1
Algeria – 27.2
New Zealand – 27.3
France – 27.4
Greece – 27.7
Nigeria – 27.7
Denmark – 27.7
Netherlands – 27.7
Portugal – 27.7
Japan – 27.8
Honduras – 28.1
Paraguay – 28.1
Italy – 28.2
Australia – 28.4
Brazil – 28.6
England – 28.7

Not really that special or young.

After seeing some of the Spanish game last night Germany, I predict, will destroy them. Seen nothing to say that Spain were anything special.

So their average age is 25. That means they will be good for the Euros and the next WC with a few new players coming in for the old guard. They seem to have a habit of peaking for the big events and I think they'll win this one with ease

I've been thoroughly impressed by the German's. They play for each other, don't waste the ball and their counter attacks are so clinical.

When they beat England I thought the hype they got was over the top because England were so poor but the way they dispatched of the Argies changed my mind.

They're the best team I've seen and would actually like to see them win it and I've never felt that way about the German's

Regardless of who, I'd like to see the team that plays the best football win it actually.

On the matches so far, thats Germany by a mile.
