I agree in this case it isn't discrimination; if you want to join, hit the range! :D

However, I felt your statement was rather too sweeping. Private clubs should still have some limits on what rules they can apply. Understand the "don't go where you're not wanted" mentality though, been there (Hmmm... or not!).

Ha Ha flip them {cant use the proper word} their loss

yeah you are right tho, on reflection the statement was too sweeping & even tho it doesn't bother me personally, in general i can see how people would see it as being wrong

Whilst I think the idea of tiered golf isn't particularly a bad idea, even it was a selection of courses that all set aside a certain day each week for each cat of golfer. I do sometimes wonder how so many golfers forget where they started? Would you cat 1/2 guys be here now if it wasn't for better players taking you out for a round when you were hackers? Golf needs to be more inclusive if it is to survive as a commercial entity, not become more exclusive as per quite a few recent posts.......

I'm not sure that it would make it more exclusive. If people were able to play with people of similar abilities it may make them more open to playing golf. Also would it not possibly encourage people to try golf knowing that they are going to be starting at a club with people who have a similar ability.

A tiered structure will also give you something to aim for.

Would be interesting!
