I had a putting day like you can’t believe 21 putts ,15 one putts and no chip ins , is that a record ? Anyone know

No it isn't. A quick Google tells me that 18 is the mens record on the PGA tour, achieved by 12 golfers.

What was your final score, did you beat 70?

No it isn't. A quick Google tells me that 18 is the mens record on the PGA tour, achieved by 12 golfers.

Yeah I did see that but he did have 4 chip ins , not seen anything for amateur golf have you

When I last played with a mate who’s a member at The Forest of Arden he only had 21 putts on The Arden course.

I suspect it’s probably more common in the amateur game than on tour, primarily because us amateurs miss more greens. Anyone who misses a few greens but who has a decent short game is likely to need fewer putts than someone who hits a lot of greens in regulation.

All be it that they were quite long chip ins.

I did the opposite once, a long time ago now. I hit 16 greens and had 38 putts

No total putts , if off the green and putting it didn’t count as a putt

Normal sized greens , Rio Real golf course in south of Spain

It can be a record if you wan it to be.
Putts per round don't really matter, its the gross score I care about.
