Hi,

cant really help you , but think the best thing would be to go and try lots of diffrent ones and see which you feel most at ease with mate.

Hope it goes well.

Midnight...

I only know that down here , I have lots of diffrent shops and clubs that would allow me to try various Irons in stock. You may not get to try all the ones you want , but you would get through a fair few.

Ok here goes,
Unless your irons are broken, you cant blame them.
How many folks on here have bought new kit only for it not to suit them as well as they thought it would. If you really must change, speak to your pro, you might end up with totally irons different and love them ie MD, Titleist, Ping, Macgregors and Callaways are also well worth considering. My recommendation would be to try out a set of MD superstrongs or a second hand set of titleist AP1s.
When it comes to golf bags, forget the tourbag, you arnt on tour. I had a Mizuno Tour bag for years and didnt realise that my current MD carry stand bag could carry exactly the same amount of gear, was lighter and easier to carry. Tourbags are for meant for folks who have a caddy and arnt meant to carry it themselves.

Mono you could try True fit golf in widnes or AG warrington or DG near leasowe GC.

All of these have ranges attached to the pro shops but make sure you try as many as poss on a range and not into a net.

Ditch the tour bag and buy a go kart instead, they look the dogs danglies.

good luck with the new purchases

I've said it several times recently, but I can't see any reason why you would want to change especially if you won the school competition the other week. Your current irons are clearly working and it is a case of buying for buying sake and you won't be getting any huge technological advancement.

I'm not trying to put you down (before people get on my case) but merely making an observation. The other thing to bear in mind is that if these clubs are going to be a long term investment (several years and not several months) then you are still growing and so what suits now may not suit in a year or so as you get bigger and stronger.

At the end of the day its your money (or your parents) and you can do what you like. Clearly you have your heart set on a new set but my advice would be to find a pro at a club somewhere where you can hit demo models off grass and get a proper feel of failing that a decent range so at least you can see the flight of each make. I wouldn't (personal choice) buy anything having only hit it an indoor bay.

Buy them all, then put the ones you don't like on Ebay.

I think you need a demo bag - they don't make tour bags big enough!

Most of the irons on your list fall into a similar category, but the Wilsons stand out, as they are for a better player than the rest. Not sure why these are on the list, when there are other Wilson clubs that would be more comparable.

Mono,
I went to the Mizuno custom fitting centre at Clays farm in Wrexham the other week. Its a fantastic set up, and whilst i got fitted by Mizuno, (who are on based on site,) the Clays golf shop has all the other brands you mention, its own custom fitting area, driving range, and also an 18 hole course to boot.

It's worth a visit for sure.
