Ebay, golfbidder the main 2, look on gumtree locally, theres a for sale section on here, try your local pro shops/american golf. Some of the online shops also have ex display/trade in sets available (jam golf snainton golf etc)

What are you looking for/what sort of budget?

At that budget you could easily buy last years model brand new if you wanted

https://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acatalog/Irons.html

filer the price to sub 300 and you get a dozen options

something like:
https://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acatalog/Srixon-Z-155-Golf-Irons-Steel-Shafts.html#SID=8729
https://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acatalog/Cobra-MAX-Golf-Irons-Steel-Shafts.html#SID=326

if you wanted to spend a little less and buy second hand personally would look on ebay for something like Ping G range etc

I am looking for Oversized irons. As i really have to go back to starting over because of my back. But never lost the bug. So any suggestions are appreciated.

when you say oversized? do you mean longer than standard?

if thats the case then I would start searching ebay for 2nd hand sets that have been lengthened as will struggle to buy new and get them custom fit in you budget

Thanks mate. That too. But are the club head these days oversized or is this standard?. And at 6ft2 i Will need need longer than standard. But i went to American Golf and it was shambolic. I looked at Taylor made and because they on sale fitting wasn't available always with same. So the forum was the place to come.

You have helped me more in 5 minutes than AG did in 30 thanks.

Any of the game improver, iron heads will be plenty big enough (like the ones I linked to earlier),

If you think you do need longer shafts then def worth a look on ebay, couple of examples below:

1/2 inch longer:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Callaway...h=item3d7a3add76:g:dScAAOSww6ZbxzKa:rk:3:pf:0

1 inch longer:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERFUL...=item2cddb53db1:g:vi0AAOSwDOlbnXD-:rk:26:pf:0

Would be worth trying to talk to a local pro to try and get a decent guide as to what spec would suit you best though!

May be best waiting till january if possible, might be more available as people get new sets for xmas?

Yeah a good starter defo. Stick around the forum and join in. Plenty from Ayrshire and surrounding on here who meet up when we can.

Always appreciate the advice. Always trying to get back into it. But back issues are the issue. i know i won't get back to the handicap i had but will give it damn good try.

The Irons i have are done, but hope to get a round in soon somewhere. But need to get back into it. Looking forward to it though.

Virtually all game improvement clubs I would consider as oversize .

If you do a static fit on the Ping website it will give you a god idea of lie and length.
You can then look for second hand clubs to match.

I bought my son plus 1" and 2 degree upright lie off ebay with relative ease.
