Ipod Touch GPS

Is anyone using an Ipod Touch with a Golf GPS APP?

There seems to be a few on iTunes, Etc so I was just wondering if anyone had used any and if they are any good?

Got the missus one for christmas and I'm becoming a bit of a geek with it and thinking of gerrin me'sen one!!!

I tried a couple of free lite version on my iPhone but with the complications regarding iPhones in comps I went for a skycaddie sgx. The apps are good but not comp friendly

The ping putting app is nice (although you either have to buy an expensive cradle, or make your own).

BTW: Worth noting that the iPod touch would still be illegal for competition use (as it has an inclinometer/gyroscope so would in the same category as iphones and compasses).

My understanding was that an iPod Touch didn't have a GPS. Is this a recent addition? There are many Apps available that only work on the iPhone.

It may not have GPS but anything that can indicate slope is also illegal.

Ipod touchs don't have gps i bought one last year and they don't work.
