Guys, I have a wireless iPad, I've heard you can marry up your 3G iPhone so your iPad gets the T'interweb outside, anyone know how?

With a 3G Iphone I think you'll need to jailbreak it to enable it for tethering.

if you are on ios6.1 iPhone 5..
settings > personal hotspot > turn it on, set a name "SSID" then a password.
Then go into wireless on the ipad, search for networks, your new one will be there and connect as you would to any other wifi network.
Just be careful on data use if you have a capped contract.
