Anyone heard of them or tried them? Went into Nevada Bobs today as I'm planning on regripping my clubs soon and the guy in there suggested I look at these. They are really pricey but if what is claimed about them is true they would last 2/3 years and therefore be comparable with the Lamkin N-DUR and crossline which I'm also looking at.

Apparently they are made of elastomer rather than rubber and are therefore more water and UV resistant.

replacing grips on 2010 AP1's??
Ive still got my early 2009 AP2 original grips and they are as fresh as a daisy, give them a wash with some fairy!

Blimey.

I'm still using my original grips on my 12 year old Lynx Black Cats :D

They do desperately need replacing, but I think I'm going to have to wait until Christmas :(

Hey Brendy

Had them since October last year. Because I don't have any woods I've used my irons a lot. I could keep them on bit longer but the grips are also the wrong size +1/8 instead of +1/32 and the wedges are completely knackered

To be honest, I would stick with golf pride etc. Tried and tested brands, half cord etc wont wear as quick as some of the newer funkier looking grips.

At the moment I'm thinking of getting the Lamkin Crossline but wondered if anyone had tried the ionic. Though I'm hoping to look at the lamkin n-dur before I make my mind up. Cheers

Iomic is a well known Japanese grip, first marketed for putters, and is a high quality product. They are more durable than conventional grips and they are making them for full sets now. Like anything else it is a matter of personal preference and style, as well as budget.

I once had an iomic grip in blue. It was a great grip and i would highly recommend it, great in the rain too.

Ethan have you played them? It's the durability thing that's key for me. If they still need changing at roughly the same time I just cannot justify the expense. They do feel lovely though, just not £10 worth of lovely when the crossline are £4 and N-Dur at £6.

the ndur ones are great, as I said previously, I use them, I put them on in may and there are still like new, I play 18 holes once/twice a week, and 9 holes 2/3 times a week. Add practice time to that and they are doing very well! I also have the crosslines on my 3 wood, hybrid and wedges, and again, would highly reccomend.

Hi JT if you were regripping tomorrow would you stick with the same set up or put one line of grips in all your clubs?

Brian gay uses the imonic grips, but my opinion would be to stick to golf pride and then go for the multi compounds, they are really good for feel and grip during the rain !!!

I'd give 'em a go if I was re-gripping.
They read well, and if you deduct the price of a decent set of golf prides from the Iomic ones, they don't work out that more expensive.
I'd stick with black ones though

;)

Hi Tiger, I would use ndur on all my clubs, just change the colour, ie, black white on irons, blue white on wedges.
At the time, I was not sure how they would be as ordered them online, 6 quid each from gamola, and wanted to try them first, so only ordered enough for irons. At the time the had blue lamkin crossline for around 2 quid a pop so I ordered a good few for rest of bag and some spares. I really like the crossline too, but the ndur for me are just a very comfortable grip and I have been very happy. Had I have known, I would have went through the bag.
