well yes i thought i will take my mate vincent down to the driving range knock a few about and see if i can get him interested. well he loved it.....upto the point when he picked up my 5 wood (used once). His first couple of shots were ok then i heard a shriek from the next bay and looked up to see the clubhead wing its way to the 75yd marker and vincent looking rather sheepish holding just the shaft!
he then sat down and somewhat apolegetically handed me my shaft i said 'i'm not that fussed to be honest'
closer inspection revealed that he had struck the ball just above the club head on the shaft as there was pimple marks on it. my question is this....how the chuff did he manage that off a 1 inch tee?
introduce a friend to golf....be afraid be very afraid!

Did he do the walk of shame and retrieve the other end???

Ha, ha very true. But who had to shout to all the other golfers to stop hitting their balls while you walk on to the range to retrieve whatever you've lost - if you've got 20 bays in full use I'd be tempted to just leave it where it is and sheepishly enquire the next day if they had found a club head on the range while collecting the balls in.

On the same note i gave my old clubs to the young lad next door to get him started.

Now every time he see's me it's want to go hit some balls over at the park.

Gives me an excuse to get out the house away from the ball and chain but not in the rain wee man.
