Incentives for existing members to introduce newbies??

I hate reading these types of threads, you see nice green fee numbers from 500-750... then one of the southerns post of the 1250+ green fee's we get hammered with

Just to rub it in Old boy I'll remind you of what i pay..... again. :)

Nairn Golf club, number 35 in the GM Uk's to courses, former Walker Cup venue and home to the Curtis cup next year. Tain Golf Club, recently featured in GM hidden Gems article and one of Old Tom Morris's finest, all for Under £1000 a year..... :):):)

Re: Incentives for existing members to introduce n

Our fees are around £840 and we still have a waiting list at present. Not sure how long that will last but interesting reading and they may have to look at these ideas to encourage people to get new members. The worry for members is no waiting list may mean dropping the joining fee of over £1000.
This can bring in up to £40,000 some years, lot of cash to find from somewhere else.

Re: Incentives for existing members to introduce n

£850 per year and £50 on our club card to be used in the pro shop/bar for introducing a new member.

Re: Incentives for existing members to introduce n

F**ker, ;)

I suppose on a plus side our courses are normally open on full greens for 11 months a year so its not all bad

Sorry to p*ss on your parade old boy, but they are both links courses which means they are both dry over winter and temps are unusual esp at Tain.....:):):)
