Imurg Birdie Meister, Fragger Gets a Cut

First 3 holes Today,The Big man goes Birdie, Birdie, Birdie.

Here we go we thought, we are in for a hammering
4th hole, he just gets par, but with a shot its still 3 points, thats 13 points in 4 holes

He then proceeds to get 1 point on each of the next 3 holes, blobs the 8th, but gets another birdie on the 9th with another shot for 4 points and a total of 20 points for the first 9

Meanwhile I was playing a supplimentary card round and was also on 20 points, so far so good.

the back 9 was steady apart from my blob on the 10th and I ended up with 38 points gross 92 for a probable 0.4 cut, my first cut in 12 months

Imurg played really well, picked up another birdie and had 20 on the back, so 40 points for a 71 gross and also a probable 0.4 cut, and the 2's pot, but it only had £3 in it

CVG also got 20 points on the back, but had an indifferent front 9 with 3 blobs

I had 8 x 3 pointer, 5 x 2 pointers, but it was the 4 x 1 pointers and the blob that were a bit disappointing, as I could have been mid 80's

Still some delightful golf and all bodes well for the forthcoming season

Why only a probable cut?

A Supplementary can be Strokeplay or Stableford and no CSS is calculated - SSS is used.

My mistake there - maths was never my strong point....
Nett 66 on a SSS of 69 - so 0.3 cut.........

Probable until it is officially done by the guys in the office

doesnt effect my playing handicap in any case, 22.9 to 22.5

Very similar to me this afernoon.

-3 stood on the 6th tee.

Went bogey, double bogey, bogey, bogey to finish the front 9

Played really well today, had some bad luck in that run but the best all round I have played for a long, long time.
