Had a few lessons with my local pro last year and he seemed to think my flexibility was not the greatest and thinks if i could improve that then it would make me hit the ball the correct direction.

As sometimes I try to hit the ball harder/further and tend to bend my arms a little to get this extra but in turn not hit the ball down the middle all the time.

Just wondering if you guys have any tips or secerts on getting a greater flexibility. or did anything yourselfs in the past

cheers

There's a book called yoga for golfers by Katherine Roberts which is pretty good. Helps with flexibility but also core strength as well, which helps control your balance etc.

Yoga or palates and any exercise that builds the core muscles, too much heavy weights can have the wrong effect making you more inflexible, u can do a lot of exercises at home using a balance ball.

A friend of mine wanted to learn to do the splits. I suggested she went and asked at a circus that happened to be playing in town. She eventually found an acrobat and asked for a few lessons. He asked her how flexible she was and she replied 'I cant make Tuesdays or Thursdays as I'm working'
Ok, its not brilliant, but its clean and you can tell it in any company :)

Do the drill where you put a club behind your head and "swing." After a while you get more flexible :D Yoga is very important as well.
It also could be that you're too afraid to turn behind the ball, subconciously. Depends on your age of course! :D
