Tour Rookie
As posted before I was trying out drivers - borrowed a Mizuno Mp600 from the pro shop. (now firmly 'in the bag')
This is a 9.5* stiff shafted beast, where before I had a 10.5 and HL both in regular shafts.
Generally my woes are off the tee, today however- in lieu of hitting 2 fairways I actually only missed 2 yes - I managed to hit 11 out of the 13 fairways.
Cant believe I was so consistant off the tee, ok I seem to be a bit shorter (ave today 260), but well pleased.
My conclustion - get the right shaft it makes a massive difference. I also managed to win on Sunday and got a 2 shot cut. Lets hope it stays for a while, big match tomorrow.
