Played in the northern final of the Our golf travel Ladies 4BBB at Aldwark Manor today, and my artner & I won! so off the Algarve next weekend for the grand final and a chance to play with Darren Clarke in the Portuguese Masters Pro Am.

I have to thank my partner who kept us going with some great golf, it looked like the pair we were playing with were going to win it when they had 21 pts after 9 compared withy our 17 but they fell apart on the back nine and we had a great 9 to win by 2.

Great news, especially with them changing the rules on you! Congratulations⛳️

Either the Oceanica Faldo or O'Connor I believe, Gary

Came across these two courses earlier this year and they are absolutely gorgeous. You are in for a massive treat. Well done.
is this the comp where they changed the goalposts the other week for you. If so well done.

Played both courses two weeks ago, very nice location, good service. The general consensus in our group was that the O'Connor was the better of the two courses..... it's certainly a hell of a challenge. The Faldo was very scenic, stunning views but a hell of a trek. The O'Connor has a lot of lateral water hazards, and I mean a lot....... if your ball leaks off the side of the fairway and creeps into the scrub it's almost impossible to find, first round on it we all(every player) lost 5 or more balls to this.... although I didn't lose any on the last round. Time of day had a big impact too, first thing in the morning it was cool and calm, but as it warmed up around mid-morning, a really stiff wind would come around, a good 3 club wind in parts, and always seemed to be in your face whatever direction you were facing. It made the stretch from 13 in quite tough, especially 15 or 16 - the hole before the last par 3, was a par 4 with the second over water and almost impossible to reach in two with the wind full on. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

The food in the clubhouse was fine but if you want to eat out, you'll need a taxi, it's about 5 mins to Alcantarilha (10 euros each way I think). There are two little restaurants in the middle of town right opposite the church. Casa De Pasto a Cisterna feels like you're just sitting outside someones house, great pepper steak but bear in mind it's closed on Saturdays!!, Restaurante O Cantinho next door was more like a restaurant, a little more expensive but the grilled tiger prawns were superb. Both restaurants were great value for money, 5 of us had starters, main, beer and 3 litre carafes of wine - one was 110 euros, the other was 130...

Have a good trip.
