Just over 7 years ago I applied for country membership for Sunningdale, doesn't cost anything to apply so I thought why not. Nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say. Had an interview last year and was told I am getting close to the top of the list.

Well this morning a letter dropped through the letterbox saying my application has been accepted and I'm in!

Guess this where I find out how many 'friends' I have

Congrats Gordon. Coincidentally, I've now, as of this morning, got overseas membership for Augusta after 20 years of waiting. Looking forward to organising a 4 ball there in the summer.

Beat me to it - I was just in the middle of writing something similar relative to my country membership at Royal County Down! ;)

Matt, how about a 4 ball next Sunday? The tee is booked till about 3pm but it's only 2 balls in front of us

I'm putting you on ignore until I get my Sunningdale round!

If you put me on ignore, how will you see my invite?

Have you spotted the flaw in your cunning plan?

Anyway, Broadstone is just as nice so if you ever hit the south coast.....

Gordon to be fair, you pitched it at the right level, if you'd been cut to 4, then we'd all have guessed straight away :)
