IG conundrum

Was going to record a GP round today, my mate & I both use IG.
When our scores were recorded he just had to take a photo of his card ....................... job done.
I didn't get that option but was asked to ste someone to attest my score, so I used my mate.
The problem seems to be that he's not received a request to attest my score!
Oh, why the two different methods and how do I get the option to just photograph the signed scorecard?
My IG version is 2.5.4

Same experience for me.
Would appear that different versions have a different requirement.
my version is 2.5.4 and from memory requires a player to attest it (I use EG in the main or a PSI screen).

I require a player to attest my score, but he's not received the request.
Maybe it's because he's on an older version.

My club sent an email out to everyone when the latest version came out, advising us to update our IG.

I havent seen this message yet, but then I never tick empty another persons score

I often get the option to enter another persons score as well as my own

If your M&H Secretary is worth his/her salt, send a picture of the card with a brief explanation. Job done. Then probably update the software.

The one time something similar happened, the score was never attested* but I had put in the card to the club, it took some time but eventually the score was accepted. Maybe the club did something about it.

*The guy did not have the app despite him saying he did.

You could just post the same score at the same course again, with someone teed up to attest it that you know has the app and will do so.

Have just done that, but what will happen to the unattested card that's currently somewhere in the ether?

You shouldn't have done this. Instead, you should have contacted your handicap committee to resolve the issue.

The original preregistration will still exist and probably generate an automated penalty score in day or two. You will need to contact your handicap committee to get things sorted.

I'm popping in to the club to get this sorted, my worry is that it may happen again!

I always use MyEG. We don't have IG, we use Club V1 which isn't great. MyEG seems to work pretty well most of the time
