if your clubs were stolen.....

I'd probably stick with my irons, putter and wedges, possibly even my 3-wood. The hybrids in my bag would certainly get replaced and I'd be very tempted to try a new driver, even though my R9 is a fine specimen! Saying that, every time I pick up the G20 in the proshop I want to run off with it. Need to try it out and hopefully not get on with it. Then there's the i20....hubba hubba! :D

Stick with all my Ping gear, replace the hybrid's with Ping. Not sure about the wedge, I like the Vokey, gave it up for an MD Seve grind for a season, but came back to it, although it's old and bashed, wondering about a new Ping. Would swap the old Cobra gap wedge I use with either a Ping, or another Vokey....still undecided. Definately replace the Scotty like for like.

I would get the same, trouble i'm not sure i could get it?

Driver and woods new model out.

Irons, older model

Wedges, older model.

Bag, might be able to still get one and the same with the putter.

Fortunately I've got the TM TP's sitting at home an R7 LTd driver, a couple of wedges, a 3 and 5 wood, several hybrids and two or three putters so I could easily carry on while the claim got sorted. I'd probably go for a full C/F fitting as cost wouldn't be an issue.

Actually thinking about this a bit more. If my clubs were stolen now I might actually take it as a sign from a higher power that enough's enough. Those of you who have read my my other thread will know what I'm taking about.

Either that or I'd probably just get a cheap second hand set of irons, probably some G10's. Look to get similar second hand everything else.

Then wait until I've sorted my swing out and then get custom fit again. No point right now getting custom fit half way through all these changes.

I'll try to get a look at them in the metal. The Ping wedge I have now could be described as chunky but I am hitting it really well indeed, so maybe chunky is best for me :)

They're probably not bad wedges at all, but the chunky "GI" look for the wedges didn't suit my eye at all.

The teardrop heads on the MPT-11's are quite compact, but the new R-12's they've released have bigger more "traditional" wedge heads, so they might be worth a look too.

Driver and 3-wood I'd replace like for like.

Irons, as mine are 20+ years old, I'd have to go for new. Maybe try Nike pro combos, Ping i20s, Callaway Razr Tour, and Mizuno JPX pro

Never had specialist wedges, so that would be a whole new world of faffing for me to get confused my.....

Keep the same putter.

In reply to the original question

Woods/Hybird - Would replace like-for-like
Irons - Mizuno JPX Pros or MP59's (or whatever iron the Mizuno fitters see fit for me)
Wedges - Like for like
Putter - Like for like (Sorry Imurg ;))
