If you were Pro...

In a sense yes but the clubhead is the same, Titleist advertise him using the D2 and he is only with a custom shaft fitted which would be totally unsuitable for 99.9% of the public anyway due to it's weight and stiffness etc. So I see what you are saying but not in the same league as playing one brand and sticking a sponsors logo on it. Yes all the players Drivers/Woods will have special shafts in them which to be fair the shafts me and you use will be totally unsuitable for them.

Yeah it's nowhere near as bad but it's in the same ball park. There is nothing quite as bad as misleading people to thinking that you are buying the same thing as their hero only to later find out that the pro's clubs are being made by a completely different brand.

Yep the misleading thing is bad I think everyone would agree. I have the D2 Driver, didn't buy it because Rory uses it just because it felt great and was fairly easy to hit, mine came with the RIP shaft in it but I started to struggle with a low Ball flight so I swapped to the Ilima shaft which is much better for me and easier to launch so my Driver is now not what it originally was so personally don't have an issue with players having souped up shafts in their clubs. I went for a tour of a club fitting premises a few months back a they had some fancy shafts in and one was what Ross Fisher uses in his Driver it retailed at £1100 and it was like swinging a scaffolding pole it just felt dead and would only suit swing speed well in excess of 100mph

Dont know the answer to that matey. Dont think it matters what he plays at the moment as he has been awful for over a year now, soon as his little nipper was rushed to Hospital he has never been the same player.

Yeah that is a pity I always liked Fisher. Always seemed very down to earth

There clubs are simply stunning. When i was getting fitted with Scott Gourlay, he gave me one of there 6 irons, i said to him, there is no way i could hit this, as it was a tiny bladed iron. OMG how wrong was i, one of the nicest clubs i have ever hit. They are so soft, they are made in the same factory as Vega.

Yeah I always liked the look of them but just want to make sure that the warrant the fairly hefty price tag before I consider buying one
