If you could go back in time and tell yourself one tip / piece of advice when starting playing golf, what would it be? (Other than don't start playing golf...)
Start with stack and tilt.
(Even if I then went away from it I'd have a solid understanding of the fundamentals).
I've recorded all my rounds on a simple excel spreadsheet (makes horrific reading)Keep a souvenir score card for every course you play.
I've played bloody hundreds of courses and would love to have kept a record of when and where but I ain't got a clue now.
Ditto Jouk, although it would have been difficult, as it wasn't about.
As it wasn't around, I'll opt for stop looking for the flippin ball before you hit the flippin thing.
Hang on, I've been saying that since I started anyway.
think before you hit - plan your best way to play each hole, then stick to it
(of course I do no such thing but if I could . . . )
