I think I have been done up like a kipper.

No, being a member you are meant to get eclusive offers but the card gives you a permanent data base of what you have bought. It means if you lose a receipt and the item is faulty you can give your details and it is on their system that you did buy it there and whether or ot it is still under warranty

To be fair, I don't think there's much you could have done in this situation. AG are a fairly large company, you're going to have faith in them. In this instance you've encountered a thieving what-not which you couldn't possibly have forseen.

He's jumped on the fact that you've paid with cash and decided to up his beer fund somewhat.

I'm sure their head office will be very keen to hear of this theft and I hope they sort you out accordingly.

I agree. I think AG will be very interested to hear. After all no-one likes negative publicity and the idea that their staff are thieving is not conducive to customer footfall. Let us know how you get on

Hi Madandra
Sounds like you can get evidence of purchase from CCTV and sales bloke at AG will get it in the neck. Also, if you have loads of other purchases on your card, they'll see you are a good customer and not want to lose your goodwill. I also wonder if AG are at fault in not supplying a receipt? Or did you actually turn one down?

But if you can't sort it out with AG/PK, try Consumer Direct, govt advice site for consumer affairs. Free phone for help or advice: 08454 04 05 06. They should sort you out on your rights and what to do about it. Threatening to go to them or generally kicking up a fuss (is Watchdog still on?) should also get AG on their toes.

Hope it works out without too much hassle.

From the sounds of it I don't think you'll have a problem with the company to be honest mate. All you're after is the guarantee (at the moment).

If I was the manager there I would be far more interested to know what my staff had been up to and would be checking the CCTV quick sharp.

They've got more to gain from keeping you sweet and getting the info from you as to place, time who the staff member was etc

Hope you get it sorted

I think you should try contacting the guy (I think you have join first). It's sure to get maximum attention then:

The american golf website doesn't seem to give any details about the head office or the contact details for it. Which is very poor.
Otherwise, maybe someone for the GM magazine has a contact and can pass your details to them?
